“They’re Not Legislators, They’re Assholes”
3October 1, 2015 by Eric Blumberg
House Speaker John Boehner’s October Surprise has certainly opened up a Pandora’s Box of uncertainties as the country hurtles toward another possible government shutdown in December.
To add insult to injury, the heir apparent, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Ca), is campaigning by stiffing his current boss, pandering to the body’s rabid minority, and admitting something the whole world knew as true from its outset.
McCarthy’s braggadocio about the House Select Committee on Benghazi and its sole motive, to take down Hillary Clinton, is akin to a person pouring gasoline on a fire to appease a band of arsonists.
Hence, the title, which was taken from an anonymous congressional staffer speaking to The Washington Post. The reference was to that small group of conservative anarchists who call themselves The Freedom Caucus. Frankly, at present, however, The Fascist Caucus is a more suitable appellation.
This much is certain, however. These 50 or so bomb throwers have put together an extortion racket worthy of Tony Soprano. They force more moderate Republican to vote obstruction over progress, and if they dare vote their true feelings, The Fascist Caucus will insure they get primaried the next election cycle.
So, we now have a House of Representatives owned by the overturn Obamacare crowd, and who have now set their sights on shutting down the government because they couldn’t stand themselves if they did something constructive, for once.
The choice between funding Planned Parenthood or closing up shop is apparently a no-brainer for these fools. They say these monies can’t go to an organization which performs certain procedures (abortions and stem-cell research). It makes little mind the federal funds are used in an absolutely legal fashion, and none go directly for abortion . The no-brainers want those dollars to vanish, never to be heard from again.
These are the aforementioned assholes. These are the men and women who spend their time preaching about those who cannot speak for themselves. But what about another group who has no voice, but is very much alive?
The unfortunate truth about these fascists is they only speak of and care for the unborn, not those who have left the womb. They are not pro-life (most support the death penalty); they are pre-life.There are nearly 75-million children living in the U.S. and recent studies show that by the end of the decade the percentage of federal spending on children’s health and welfare programs will drop to historic lows.
There is a group of people who can do something about this projected trend. Four hundred and thirty-five work in the House and a large majority of the are not directly part of the so-called Freedom Caucus. I daresay a majority of them would vote to increase funding for children’s needs if given the chance. Unfortunately, the pre-lifers do not believe such a vote would be a good idea. People who are alive don’t apparently interest them much. In fact, their laser focus on only the unborn can only be described as totally anti-social. Therefore, it’s only fitting we recognize these particular elected officials for what they truly aren’t and what they truly are.
